Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Customers frequently rave about the quality of the cod and haddock at Ossie's, often citing the perfectly crispy batter and the flaky, tender fish inside. Portion sizes impress diners, offering exceptional value for money. The friendly and welcoming staff receive consistent praise for their service, making guests feel like part of the family during their visits. Many appreciate the casual atmosphere that suits all occasions, from lunches with friends to hearty dinners with family. The kids’ menu options also shine, catering well to young diners. Some patrons enjoy the late-night food offerings, perfect for those seeking comfort food after hours. Speedy service allows for quick bites, and the convenient online ordering adds to the appeal of this local gem.

Most Disliked

While Ossie's generally garners positive reviews, a few customers express concerns about wait times during peak hours, especially on busy Fridays at 6 PM when the shop reaches full capacity. Some diners mention that the outdoor seating could be improved for comfort. A handful of guests have also commented on occasional inconsistencies with the portion sizes during busy periods. The pricing might be seen as prohibitive for some when ordering multiple items, though this is relatively rare. Finally, some patrons wish for more diverse options on the menu, though they acknowledge the traditional offerings are done well. Overall, these mentions don't overshadow the many positive aspects of dining at Ossie's.

Simple, constant, and good fish and chips, whenever I pass the area and I am hungy, I stop to get a delicious haddock. The chips are quite good as well. The staff is friendly and polite. Parking in front, if you move fast to collect and go, might be for free. Otherwise, you can pay on ring go.

Excellent fish and chips... run by three brothers, very friendly and always smiling!!! After eating fish and chips at different places all over London, I always prefer Ossies Fish and Chips. They also make some lovely roast chicken, and the grilled fish is amazing.

Just visiting family in the area who provided this for dinner when we asked for fish and chips. Fantastic! Large chips served with salt and vinegar upon request. The cod was very crispy on the outside and a thick, flakey, fleshy white on the inside.

Amazing Fish and Chips and service to match! On arrival we were met by a queue of diverse people all waiting to order or their orders to be served a good sign. The knowledge of the staff of their produce and even the silly reviews from drunk customers and the owners honest feedback kept us entertained till our order was ready. Taking it back home we feasted on it and were not disappointed at all in fact all three of use thought it was the best we had had to date. No mean feat! Thankyou we will be back when we have our next Charity Trustee Meeting.
